September 26th, Meeting at FJMU for Flood Relief Activities:
FJMU Alumni in North America raised donations for flood relief activities in Pakistan. Fatima Jinnah Medical University and FJMCCANA collaborated to take a lead in providing immediate medical relief to people in flood-affected areas. FJMU has sent three medical teams to Rajan Pur, Sehwan Sharif and Qmbar Sharif.
Now in the second phase, this collaboration will focus on the rehabilitation of a village in South Punjab. FJMU collaborated with Dr. Asif Jah, Customs Health Care society. They are working in all four provinces and are providing medical relief, ration, cooked meals, medicines, and building houses in South Punjab and Sindh areas.
FJMU handed over a check of 20 lacs Rupees for 10 houses in Kashani Basti in Fazal Pur and 2 more lacs cash money Dr Asif Jah to start building these houses in remote and devastated areas. On Sep 26th, the teams are leaving for medical camps in Fazal Pur and the inauguration of 29 houses in Kashani Basti.
